When Jessa Kane releases a new book, I feel inclined to stop what I’m doing to read it, and this one did not disappoint.Vale is a 32 year-old Navy SEAL that was injured when he killed a wanted terrorist. In fact, he’s become famous and a hero because of it. He comes home to finally meet his stepmother and stepsister, whom he’s been writing letters to for a while and has formed a connection with. Lula is an 18 year-old curvy V who is in tuned with nature, meditating and considered a “hippie” by her patronizing mother, a mother that constantly compares her to skinny women and tells her to lose weight.This is definitely insta-love. As soon as Vale sees Lula, he gets turned on, and she feels the same. He loves how plushy and curvy Lula is and wants her even more because of it. His stepmother wants to set him up with tons of girls (thin ones), but he’s not having it. Not only because he doesn’t care to, but the only woman he wants is “forbidden” to him- his stepsister. Lula can’t believe that a man like Vale would want her, a thick, nature-loving young woman. But he does, and their chemistry is 🔥🔥🔥.In terms of this being stalkery- um... not as much as I thought. He “stalks” her when she goes camping with her friends, surprising her while she was mostly naked, but that’s really it (oh and a scene in the epilogue). What happened after he surprised her was hoooot!The dirty talking and the smexy scenes were 🥵🔥💦. Jessa Kane does it again! She somehow creates these books with hot as f intimacy scenes. Lula and Vale... oh dear Lord...combustible scenes for sure! They’re so into each other, a connection so visceral that it’s hard to not root for them.Overall, a pleasure to read. This is the hottest book Jessa Kane ever wrote and that's saying something. Lula is thick and curvy (which is basically unheard of for Jessa Kane heroines and was a nice change) but other than that it's like a best of Jessa hits collection. He's stalkerish, he's Daddy, he's a wounded loner, he's her stepbrother and it all works and fits and is incredibly hot. There's a scene in the shower that deserves like an Erotic Pulitzer or something.
